John Alexis Balaguer (b. 1991, Philippines) is a curator, critic, and cultural worker based in Manila. He founded Curare Art Space, a digital platform for collaborative art and curatorial projects. With over a decade of experience in arts management, he has organized various cultural programs, art exhibitions, research, publications, and audience development events, primarily focused on modern and contemporary art and Philippine heritage. He has worked with institutions like Palacio de Memoria and Ayala Museum. He received multiple awards, including the Loyola Schools Award for the Arts in 2012, the Purita Kalaw Ledesma Award for Art Criticism in 2019, and the Philippine Heritage Award in 2021. He has also taught Fine Arts under the University of the Philippines system and is currently completing his MA in Art Studies - Curatorial Studies. Currently, he works as an independent art curator, critic, and artist.
